XS-S— Vintage Pendleton 49er Wool Jacket with Leather Patched Elbows
$159.00
A very special vintage Pendleton 49er jacket, dating from around the 1950’s. Featuring leather patched elbows, large abalone shells down the front, and woven leather buttons at the cuffs. As the name suggests, the Pendleton 49er was introduced in 1949 as an addition to the women’s sportswear line. Pendleton is well known to this day for their fine wool textiles! I worked in the Pendleton Mill in Washougal, WA and saw the process from start to finish, raw imported wool to the completed textile.
Excellent vintage condition, minor signs of wear and a few interior repairs to the pocket corners and button holes at the cuffs, one small darn at each underarm.
Bust up to about 36”/37”
15.5” shoulder seam to seam
17” arm opening at the shoulder
21.5” shoulder seam to cuff
22.5” shoulder to hem
7” cuff opening
Please note that this jacket fits a little too snug on the model, mostly at the cuffs, and is most likely meant for an XS.
Shown on size S model, 5’5”, 35” bust, 28” waist. Best for slightly smaller measurements.
