Hand beaded chokers and garters— made with Czech glass seed beads, rare 1930’s Czech glass rhinestone beads, gold teardrop Czech glass beads, and pure silk hand-dyed ribbons.
a little history— these are based on a pair of one-of-a-kind 1930’s stocking garters that have since sold from my shop. I was able to make a pattern to reproduce them! Each garter/choker takes about 9-10 hours to make and each is made with a lot of love and attention to detail.
These can be customized with fine Swiss velvet elastic to make them into custom-fitted thigh or stocking garters.
Each piece has 18” ribbon on either side to accommodate most neck sizes, but please reach out if you need a custom length.
The beaded part of the choker/garter measures 5” wide, about 6” with the ribbon “flowers” on either side, and is about 3” from top to bottom including the dangly beads across the bottom.
We made this jacket using a vintage 1960’s pattern, 1800’s wool overshot yardage, vintage buttons, and a lot of details. We fell in love with the raw fringe edges of the yardage we were using, so we decided to incorporate it in the construction of jacket and reinforce it with strips of cotton fabric.
Overshot textiles are a historic style of weaving that was used to create bedspreads, cloths, and the like due to its durability and beauty. The textile we used for this jacket is most likely a remnant of a bedspread due to the double-weave and wool—both used to create extra warmth.
This jacket is best for XS-M, but please check measurements to verify fit.
