Victorian Quilted Brocade Winter Skirt
$256.00
A beautiful quilted brocade petticoat/skirt in a deep purply-brown. This item dates to about the 1870’s-1880’s based on the calico pattern and was most likely a winter skirt or petticoat. The waistband and lining are a richly patterned calico. There is a deep pocket at the right hip with remnant of the original price sticker on the interior of the skirt. The skirt fastens at the back with a large wooden button (not original). The shell of the skirt is most likely silk, and the lining is cotton.
Condition: there are small tears and holes in the shell fabric scattered throughout, otherwise minor signs of wear due to age. This is a fragile garment and should be worn with care.
Measurements:
Waist up to 25”
Hips up to 52”
34” waist to hem
