M/L-Edwardian Battenburg Lace Gown
$649.00
Edwardian Battenburg lace gown with satin ribbon trim and elegant cutouts at the neckline. The design of the dress uses the leaves of the lace pattern to create the hem giving it a very unique look. The dress is gathered at the back, possibly to accommodate a small bustle, or create a small train. There are hook closures at the back from the waistband up to the shoulder. Shown over a pale pink 1940’s slip.
Condition: excellent antique condition with small small rust spots around some of the hooks and a faint browned spot in the satin at the left sleeve. This dress has been reworked over the years, so the satin trim is not original, but is likely still antique.
Shown on 5’5” model, 34” bust, 26.5” waist
For reference- the dress was a little big for the model, but it still wears beautifully on smaller measurements than listed below, but the shoulders fell a little too wide and may need to be altered if so.
Bust up to about 38”
Waist up to 32”
54” shoulder to hem
