$456.00
1891-1912 hallmarked christening/travel set by Louis Ravinet and Charles D’Enfert. The fork and spoon are marked “Metal Blanc” and R+C, while the other pieces are marked R+D and are not marked as Metal Blanc; so the fork and spoon were most likely replaced later (R+C hallmark dates 1912-1923). The pieces are very decorative botanic and whirling ribbon motifs. They are all engraved “Maria Luisa”. Encased in a leather box lined with beige velvet.

Set includes a small cup, napkin ring, sharp butter knife, dinner fork, and spoon.

A little history: the original company was founded by Tonnelier in 1845, and was purchased by Ravinet in 1882. In 1891 Ravinet joined D’Enfert and became R+D until 1912, at which time the hallmark changed to R+C.

Condition: excellent condition with minor signs of wear from age.

The box measure 12.5” x 6”
