Edwardian Teddy’s Bear Bracelet
$122.00
Edwardian, post 1902, original Teddy’s Bear slide bracelet. The teddy bear is backed with a very art nouveau style swirl. The bracelet is unmarked, but most likely brass and gold fill. The teddy bear is on a pivoting joint with a loop on one end so that the bracelet can be extended and opened.
Just in case you need the history, the original Teddy’s Bear was created by a well known toy and candy company in 1902 and was dedicated to President Theodore Roosevelt after he refused to shoot a bear.
Condition: excellent antique condition, but missing one of the end caps so there are some sharp corners on one end of the bracelet.
Measures about 2.25” wide with some give.
