This incredible pocket comb dates from about the late 1800's- early 1900's and most likely originates from France or Italy. The pastoral scene featured on the comb is hand-painted and highly detailed. The main body of the comb and case is also highly decorated with hand-etched patterns and inlaid with faux lapis lazuli enamel. The teeth of the comb appear to be faux tortoise shell. The metal is most likely a gold-fill metal, but is unmarked.

Excellent condition with minor wear due to age.
