28" Waist-1910’s Organza + Calico Gown

$215.00
Dating from around 1910, this dress is composed of a striped organza bodice and a calico skirt. The bodice has cutwork embroidery at the neckline and tiny shell buttons up the high collar. The gown buttons up the back with small crochet covered buttons. The skirt has topstitched pintucks along the waist, and beige lace above 3 ruffles along the bottom. There are snaps on either side of the back opening, probably from a missing sash.

Condition: excellent condition with some wear to the organza. The neckline is backed with new organza under the center panel to support the original which has torn. It is worth mentioning that the stays in the collar are a bit uncomfortable and scratchy. They can be easily removed, but I wanted to leave the decision up to the customer.

Shown on 5’5” model, 34” bust, 27” waist, 41” hips
